Overwatch 2 is currently offering players the opportunity to earn up to five loot boxes, but this promotion is only available for a limited time. Here’s how you can take advantage of it.
Season 15 of Overwatch 2 has introduced significant updates, including a new Perks system that lets players customize hero abilities. One of the most notable additions is the return of loot boxes, a feature that had been absent from the game for several years.
These loot boxes are a method for players to obtain free cosmetic items. While the rewards are randomized, players have been delighted to find rare skins and unique items that are not available for purchase in the store, thus enhancing the gameplay experience.
If you find yourself out of loot boxes and eager for more, Blizzard is currently running a promotion to give away additional boxes. However, act quickly, as this offer will not last indefinitely.
How to Get Overwatch 2 Loot Boxes from Twitch Drops
To promote engagement, Blizzard has launched a new Twitch Drops initiative. Instead of specific cosmetic items, players have the chance to receive up to five loot boxes through this campaign.
To earn these loot boxes, simply watch Overwatch 2 livestreams on Twitch, ensuring you meet the minimum viewing time.
Here are the view time requirements for each loot box reward:
Watch for 2 hours to earn Loot Box
Watch for 4 hours to earn Loot Box
Watch for 6 hours to earn Loot Box
Watch for 8 hours to earn Loot Box
Watch for 10 hours to earn Loot Box
This offer is valid from March 17 until March 30, 2025, providing ample time to collect your loot boxes.
Players can keep track of their progress by clicking on their profile icon in the upper right corner and selecting the “Drops and Rewards” option from the menu.
To successfully receive your rewards in-game, ensure that your Battle.net and Twitch accounts are linked. Follow these steps if you haven’t connected your accounts yet:
- Log into your account at the Battle.net site.
- Select “Connections” on the left sidebar.
- Scroll to the Twitch section and click the “+Connect” button.
- Follow the remaining instructions to link your accounts.
After linking your accounts, you should be able to collect your in-game rewards. Just remember that sometimes there may be a delay before they appear in your inventory, so patience may be required.
