Prabhas Takes a New Direction in Upcoming Film ‘The Raja Saab’
The anticipated movie ‘The Raja Saab’ marks Prabhas’ return to the screen after the remarkable success of ‘Kalki: 2898 AD’. This film represents a shift for the actor, who is opting for a different character from his typical intense roles.

As production continues, insiders have disclosed that the initial music tracks for ‘The Raja Saab’ have been discarded, prompting a fresh approach to the film’s soundtrack.
Music composer Thaman S, in a recent discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, confirmed this development. He stated, “For ‘The Raja Saab’, we commenced the composition of songs recently. The filmmakers have completed the majority of filming, and Prabhas Garu is set to introduce commercial tracks after a significant hiatus.”
Thaman elaborated that the film’s soundtrack will incorporate a diverse array of songs, including a melodic piece, an introductory number, and an exciting dance track featuring Prabhas and his three co-stars. Additionally, there are plans to incorporate a romantic song into the film.
“We generated a number of songs throughout the process, but I proposed a change. Since the filming for these tracks had not yet commenced, I thought it best to discard the previous compositions and start anew,” the composer remarked.
This project marks Prabhas’ second film following the triumphant ‘Kalki: 2898 AD’ and showcases him in a more playful, spectral role that contrasts sharply with his usual serious personas. His character draws inspiration from the earlier days of his career, which fans are likely to appreciate.
Directed by the accomplished Maruthi, who has garnered acclaim in the horror-comedy genre within Telugu cinema, ‘The Raja Saab’ is produced by Viswa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. The film is notable for its multilingual release strategy, set to be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Although ‘The Raja Saab’ is tentatively scheduled for a Dussehra release, the official launch date has yet to be confirmed.
