Tracy Morgan Suffers Medical Incident at Knicks Game
A concerning situation unfolded at Madison Square Garden during the Knicks versus Miami Heat basketball game on March 17, as comedian Tracy Morgan faced a medical emergency while sitting courtside.
Witnesses captured the incident, with several attendees sharing photos and videos on social media that depicted Morgan in distress, reportedly vomiting on the court. Medical personnel were quick to respond, assisting the actor before he was taken away in a wheelchair, covering his face with a towel.
One onlooker noted that Morgan appeared to be bleeding from his nose and struggling to remain upright. This unsettling moment caused a delay of approximately 10 minutes during the game, which concluded with a Knicks victory over the Heat, 116-95.

A representative from Madison Square Garden released a statement expressing their concern: “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” as reported by People.

Knicks player Josh Hart shared supportive thoughts on social media, stating, “We hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan, avid lifetime Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”

This isn’t Tracy Morgan’s first encounter with health issues. He has faced various medical challenges throughout his life, including a diabetes diagnosis in 1996 and a kidney transplant in 2010. Additionally, he survived a horrific six-vehicle accident in New Jersey in 2014, which tragically claimed the life of his friend and fellow comedian, James McNair.
Following the incident, Morgan underwent immediate medical treatment for serious injuries, including a broken femur, broken nose, multiple broken ribs, and a severe brain injury. After his hospital stay, he continued his recovery in a rehabilitation facility.
Recently, Morgan was part of the celebration for 50 years of Saturday Night Live, participating in a memorable “Black Jeopardy!” sketch alongside notable cast members such as Eddie Murphy and Kenan Thompson. Reflecting on his journey, Morgan shared his gratitude for being alive to partake in the event, expressing, “This is incredible. Just thank the Lord that I’m a part of this, that I survived the accident, and I’m alive to be here for this.”
