On Friday, local news outlet WLNE reported the discovery of a body in Taunton, Massachusetts. As investigations proceed, the identity of the deceased individual remains undisclosed.
The Taunton Police Department and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office have been contacted for further information.
Taunton, located in Bristol County, serves as the county seat and holds historical significance in the area.
EXPERT OPINIONS ON SERIAL KILLER CONCERNS IN NEW ENGLAND
A second body was recovered on Sunday in the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill, as confirmed by the town’s police department. They reported receiving a call from a boater who spotted a body near the shoreline south of Ferry Park. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was notified to assist in the investigation. The cause of death and identity are still pending.
The Rocky Hill Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this death. The town of Rocky Hill is situated along the I-91 corridor, where another body was found in Springfield, Massachusetts, just the previous week.
In recent months, a troubling pattern has emerged, with a total of 10 bodies or sets of human remains being found across various locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. These include New Haven, Norwalk, Groton, Killingly, Foster, Framingham, Plymouth, and Springfield.
Many of the identified remains have been female, further intensifying the fears of a serial killer operating in the Northeast.

One of the identified victims, Paige Fannon, aged 35, from West Islip, New York, was located in the Norwalk River after heavy rainfall on March 6. Authorities from the Connecticut State Police have stated that they currently have no evidence linking the discoveries of bodies and no known public safety threat exists as a result.
Subsequent to the body found in Springfield, officials reiterated that they see no reason to connect the deaths occurring in Massachusetts to those in Connecticut. They cautioned that unverified claims circulating on social media could jeopardize ongoing investigations and contribute to unnecessary panic.
COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND ACTIVE INVESTIGATION
District Attorney Anthony Gulluni emphasized their commitment to leaving no stone unturned in the investigations. “We are actively working every lead and deploying every available resource,” he stated, while also reassuring the public that there is presently no indication these incidents are interconnected.
