A remarkable 15-year-old player captured attention at LVL UP EXPO 2025, leaving an indelible mark on the competitive Super Smash Bros Ultimate scene.
Known as ‘Doramigi,’ this young talent made headlines on April 27 by clinching victory at the P-Tier tournament.
Held in Las Vegas, LVL UP EXPO featured an impressive lineup of elite players competing for a significant prize pool of $10,000, which included renowned names such as Sparg0, Acola, MkLeo, Zomba, Light, and Glutonny.
Though Doramigi has emerged as one of Japan’s promising players, his victory was particularly surprising considering many competitors were ranked higher, making his achievement all the more thrilling.
This 15-year-old Smash player dominated a P-tier
Doramigi showcased impressive skill throughout the tournament, never falling into the losers’ bracket while defeating many of the game’s most respected players.
To secure a spot in the Top 8, he triumphed over Faze Sparg0 in a swift 3-0 match, followed by a hard-fought battle against Luigi player Kiyarash, which went to a nail-biting 5 games.
In the winners’ semifinals, Doramigi staged an impressive comeback, reversing a 0-2 deficit against Zomba, known for his ROB main.
The Grand Finals pitted Doramigi against Onin, a player well-regarded for his prowess with Steve. With a 2-1 lead in the final set, Doramigi achieved one of the most memorable moments of his career.
After successfully taking the first stock from Onin in Game 4, Doramigi dealt some damage, bringing Onin’s percentage to 25.4%. As Onin attempted to use an anvil, Doramigi expertly reflected the hit using Min Min’s up smash.
This strategic reflector increases damage by 1.8 times, resulting in an early elimination of Steve, which left commentator EEVisu in shock.

“What in the hell?!” he exclaimed, visibly taken aback by the display.
This achievement is not unprecedented; another 15-year-old player from Japan, Acola, gained international fame in 2022 by winning the Gimvitational and has since been recognized as one of the top players in the world.
As the Smash community anticipates the largest tournament in Ultimate’s history approaching in early May, eyes are now turning to Doramigi, signaling a potentially exciting future for this young competitor.
