A 17-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder following an incident involving a stabbing of a 29-year-old man. The assault took place on Monarch Road in Northampton on Wednesday, between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM GMT.
The teenager, whose identity is withheld due to legal restrictions, has been apprehended by authorities and is set to appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on the upcoming Monday.
In connection with this serious incident, several other individuals have also been detained. This includes a 19-year-old man, who remains in police custody under suspicion of attempted murder.
Additionally, a 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender and has since been released on bail while further investigations continue.
A 22-year-old woman from Northampton has also faced arrest on similar charges related to assisting an offender but was released on bail last Friday as inquiries are ongoing.
Authorities are actively seeking information and witnesses to provide details surrounding the incident.
