The eligibility criteria for this year’s Gotham Awards require that submission forms were due by September 19. Films had to be viewable through a designated screening process for nominating committees. Moreover, specific criteria regarding the nationality of directors and producers were enforced for films in the Best Feature category, explaining the ineligibility of several prominent films. As a result, this year’s nominations saw some fluctuations around expected contenders.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 2 in New York City.
