The picturesque festival, which takes place along the stunning Lake Geneva, will honor the late Quincy Jones on its opening night with “To Quincy With Love,” led by celebrated soul artist Chaka Khan. This night will also feature Khan performing a set that reflects her extensive 50-year career, alongside a solo piano performance by James Blake.

Khan expressed her excitement about the event, stating, “I feel honored to be returning to open the Montreux Jazz Festival this year, joining so many world-class artists. I’m equally proud to be bringing some special guests with me, to pay musical tribute to my friend Quincy Jones; one of the best friends that music and Montreux ever had.”

The festival’s programming continues to highlight its diverse range, featuring performances on the second night from Argentinian rapper Trueno and Colombian star J Balvin, while Brazilian singer/songwriter Seu Jorge will take the stage alongside fellow Brazilian act Anavitória. Other notable artists scheduled to perform include Brandi Carlile, Royel Otis, Samara Joy, Dianne Reeves, London Grammar, Rüfüs Du Sol, Leon Thomas, Jorja Smith, Lionel Richie, Portishead’s Beth Gibbons, Shaboozey, Yseult, Jamie XX, Leon Bridges, Pulp, Bloc Party, Finneas, FKA Twigs, Benson Boone, Sam Fender, The Black Keys, Santana, Sigrid, and many more.
