2025 SAG Awards Nominations: Top Prediction Scores

We extend our congratulations to user mmelsoo, who achieved an impressive 80.00 percent accuracy in predicting the nominees for the 2025 SAG Awards film category. This user shares the top spot with 13 others but stands out with a superior points total of 26,275, thanks in part to the strategic use of two Super Bets, each worth 500 points.

A total of 3,895 participants from around the globe engaged in predicting the nominees, with the leading user accurately selecting 20 out of 25 nominees. Among the unexpected yet correct forecasts were Pamela Anderson for The Last Showgirl and Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown.

Among the predictions made by our 11 Gold Derby editors, Charles Bright and Joyce Eng lead the way with a correct prediction rate of 72.00 percent. I am tied at 68.00 percent alongside Denton Davidson and Christopher Rosen. Following closely are Debra Birnbaum, Marcus James Dixon, Rob Licuria, Daniel Montgomery, and Ray Richmond, each with a score of 64.00 percent. Additionally, outside of Birnbaum, Eng, Richmond, and Rosen, we had 21 more experts participating in the predictions. Leading among them is Matt Neglia from Next Best Picture, Joey Nolfi of Entertainment Weekly, and Anne Thompson from Indiewire, each achieving 76.00 percent. A tie at 72.00 percent includes Erik Davis (Fandango), Susan King (Gold Derby), Scott Mantz (KTLA), and Wilson Morales (BlackFilmandTV). Following are Thelma Adams (Gold Derby), Cole Jaeger (The Oscar Expert), Mark Johnson (The Contending), Perri Nemiroff (Collider), and Peter Travers (ABC), all at 68.00 percent. At 64.00 percent, Clayton Davis (Variety), Scott Feinberg (The Hollywood Reporter), and Brian Truitt (USA Today) follow closely. John Horn (NPR), Keith Simanton (IMDb), and Jazz Tangcay (Variety) each scored 60.00 percent, while Tariq Khan (Gold Derby) and Jenelle Riley (Variety) trailed with 56.00 percent. In our television predictions contest, 2,128 entries were submitted globally. Currently, there is a four-way tie at 78.05 percent, with rkenny4 leading, accurately predicting 32 of 40 nominee slots and scoring 22,970 points. The television leaderboard allows participants to see how their predictions stack up against their peers.

Among the Gold Derby editors predicting television winners, Debra Birnbaum and Joyce Eng excel with a 70.73 percent accuracy rate. Their close competitors, Denton Davidson and Daniel Montgomery, follow with 68.29 percent. A tie at 65.85 percent includes Charles Bright, Marcus James Dixon, Christopher Rosen, and myself. Tied at 63.41 percent are Thelma Adams (Gold Derby), Lynette Rice (Deadline), and Matt Roush (TV Guide), while Kristen Baldwin (Entertainment Weekly) and Eric Deggans (NPR) each scored 60.98 percent. Others include Keith Simanton (IMDb) at 58.54 percent and Jazz Tangcay (Variety) at 53.66 percent, followed by Shawn Edwards (WDAF) at 26.83 percent.
