In the spring of 2019, the property once owned by rapper 50 Cent finally changed hands for $2.9 million—substantially below its original 12-year-old listing price of $18.5 million, marking a decrease of 84%. Reports indicate that the proceeds from this sale were intended for his charitable organization, G-Unit Foundation Inc. At the time, 50 Cent was residing in an apartment in Midtown Manhattan, with little information available about that living situation. Speculations even arose regarding whether his apartment featured a Versace toilet, a topic he casually mentioned in a 2015 interview with the New York Post.
Reflecting on his lifestyle changes, 50 Cent stated in a 2024 interview with Haute Living that he has shifted his perspective on what he requires from his home. “I just don’t need the same things anymore,” he remarked, emphasizing simplicity. “Now, I know myself more. I know what I require, and I definitely don’t require 55,000 square feet. If I had 13 kids, maybe, they would fit comfortably in 18 rooms. Other than that, it’s just me. I really need three rooms total. A bedroom, an office, a guest bedroom.”
Long Island Dwelling
In 2007, 50 Cent purchased a mansion located in Dix Hills, Long Island, for a reported $2.4 million. This 5,200-square-foot Colonial home consisted of six bedrooms and five bathrooms, as noted by Newsday. It remains unclear whether he ever occupied the residence; however, his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and their son, Marquise, were using it as their home during a turbulent period between the former couple in 2008. This legal dispute escalated when the house was destroyed in what officials deemed a “suspicious” fire. Following the incident, their relationship remained fraught, and in 2010, 50 Cent reportedly sold the now-vacant property for $365,000.
Houston Home
While specific details about 50 Cent’s residence in Houston remain largely undisclosed, he announced in May 2021 that he had relocated to Texas, stating, “I Love NY, but I live in Houston now.” His lawyer later confirmed that Houston became his primary residence after a New Jersey apartment—rented by one of his corporate entities—was targeted in a burglary. Nonetheless, it’s uncertain whether he possesses a home directly in Houston.
Black-and-White Abode
In August 2024, 50 Cent offered a glimpse into his latest home, showcasing a striking black-and-white themed mansion in a cover story with Us Weekly. The lavish residence features marble floors, samurai statues, crystal chandeliers, and striking art curated by the artist himself, who reportedly did not enlist an interior decorator. He shared images of a trophy-filled office and a sophisticated dining area that includes a wine cellar. The estate’s amenities reportedly feature a spa with a sauna, cold plunge, and indoor lap pool.
While the precise location of this boldly decorated mansion remains undisclosed, a contractor’s van from a New Jersey-based company was observed parked outside during an Instagram live tour conducted by 50 Cent.
Business Investments in Louisiana
While it’s unclear if 50 Cent owns property in Louisiana, he has made significant real estate investments to further his business ambitions in downtown Shreveport. He has established a studio for his production company, G-Unit Studios, remarking in July 2024, “The studio itself, it’s for me to create content, to go make television shows and films and stuff like that. But Shreveport, I have to be able to create an experience for people to come, so I started investing in the downtown area, buying properties and stuff. I got to revitalize that along with the studio.”
