BTS fans are ecstatic that four members of the group have completed 60 percent of their mandatory military service.

Fans of BTS are celebrating as four of the group’s seven members approach the completion of their mandatory military service. A recent update confirms that Kim Namjoon (RM), Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung (V), and Jeon Jungkook have successfully completed 60 percent of their service time, sparking excitement within the ARMY community.
The four members are now only eight months away from reuniting with their bandmates, Kim Seokjin (Jin) and Jung Hoseok (J-Hope), who have already returned from their own service commitments. The anticipated reunion of all seven members could take place around mid-2025.
This news has ignited a wave of enthusiasm among fans, who have eagerly awaited the group’s return to music and performance together. Social media has been abuzz with messages of excitement and encouragement, reflecting the deep bond between the members and their fanbase.
On social media platforms, fans expressed their joy and optimism, with comments highlighting how time seems to have flown and affirmations that they are with the members through the remaining time left. One fan remarked, “Time passes so quickly,” while another added, “Good. We have passed half of it. Fighting,” underscoring their unwavering support.
RM and V began their military service on December 11, 2023, with Jimin and Jungkook enlisting the following day. Each member is serving in different capacities: RM, the group’s leader, has transitioned into a specialized role in the military band, where he plays the saxophone, while V is actively performing duties as part of South Korea’s special defense unit. Jimin and Jungkook are fulfilling their obligations together within the 5th Infantry Division.
Additionally, Min Yoongi, known as Suga, enlisted for military service in September 2023 and is expected to complete a lengthier term due to his commitment to social service, set to end in July 2025. This will make his return one month after the four members complete their service.
In related news, the eldest member, Kim Seokjin (Jin), completed his military service in June 2024 after starting in December 2022. Post-discharge, Jin has delighted his supporters with new music releases, including an extended version of “Super Tuna,” and is preparing for the debut of his first solo album, titled “Happy.” J-Hope welcomed his return from military service on October 17.
