Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan Will Promote the Upcoming Film, I Want To Talk.

Abhishek Bachchan is set to feature in an upcoming episode of the iconic quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by his father, Amitabh Bachchan. This appearance is intended to promote Abhishek’s latest film, I Want To Talk, which has generated significant anticipation among fans eager to see the father-son duo together onscreen. A new promotional clip showcases Abhishek mimicking his father, leading Amitabh to humorously express his regret over inviting him to join the quiz show.

In the promotional video, Abhishek enthusiastically imitates his father’s familiar exclamation of “7 crore”, a phrase often heard when contestants win significant prize amounts on the show. He cleverly mentions that at family dinners, the children mimic Amitabh in the same exaggerated style whenever someone poses a question, eliciting laughter from the audience. Amitabh then quips, “Galti kardi inko yahan bula ke (It was a mistake inviting him here).”

I Want To Talk, produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, is scheduled for release on November 22, 2024. It tells the touching story of Arjun, portrayed by Abhishek, who confronts a serious health challenge while navigating his personal struggles. The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar, known for his emotionally resonant storytelling.

The recently unveiled trailer offers a glimpse into an emotionally rich narrative, showcasing Bachchan in a unique and transformative role. His depiction of Arjun is filled with complexity and raw emotion, illustrating the absurdities and intense feelings tied to everyday life challenges.

With a varied appearance and a potbellied look, Bachchan’s performance signals a significant evolution in his acting career, distinguishing itself from his past roles. The plot revolves around Arjun’s impending surgery and the intricate relationships with his family and friends. Despite the support surrounding him, it is Arjun’s internal conflicts that drive the story, creating a deeply introspective journey.

Moreover, the trailer suggests a blend of drama infused with dark humor—hallmarks of Sircar’s cinematic style—hinting at Arjun’s personal discoveries throughout the film. Joining Abhishek in the cast are notable actors such as Johny Lever, Banita Sandhu, Pearle Maaney, Jayant Kriplani, and Ahilya Bamroo, promising a compelling ensemble performance.

This film marks the first collaboration between Shoojit Sircar and Abhishek Bachchan, while Sircar has previously partnered with Amitabh Bachchan for four projects—Shoebite (unreleased), Piku (2015), Pink (2016, where Sircar served as Creative Producer), and Gulabo Sitabo (2020). Additionally, the director will be reuniting with Amitabh on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16.
