In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on YouTube, Shoojit elaborated on the narrative of *I Want To Talk*, which centers around the emotional ties between a father and his daughter. This theme resonated deeply with Abhishek, who is a father to 13-year-old Aaradhya. Shoojit remarked on this connection, stating, “There are many scenes where he became emotional because meri bhi betiyaan hain, uski bhi beti hai. Kahin na kahin woh reflect karega na uske kaam mein.” (I have daughters, and so does he. Somewhere, that naturally reflects in his work.)
Shoojit further mentioned that during scenes meant to evoke strong emotions alongside Abhishek’s on-screen daughter, the actor frequently thought of Aaradhya, showcasing how personal experiences informed his performance. As a father of two daughters himself, Shoojit expressed that he also found the story particularly moving.
In *I Want To Talk*, Abhishek plays Arjun Sen, a character faced with a serious illness. This storyline, rooted in real-life events, struck a chord with him, prompting Shoojit to observe, “I know sometimes he won’t tell me, but I know he was affected by it.”
The film debuted on November 22, 2024, featuring performances from actors such as Ahilya Bamroo, Johny Lever, and Pearl Dey. Despite its emotional depth and strong acting, *I Want To Talk* did not perform well commercially, generating only Rs 1.20 crore within its first five days, according to reports from Pinkvilla.
Amidst these developments, the private lives of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have come under significant public attention. Speculations surrounding their possible separation gained traction following their separate appearances at a high-profile wedding in July.
