Panasonic Unveils Its 2025 TV Product Lineup at CES

The Highlight of the Collection is the Z95B OLED TV

Including the W95B Mini-LED and the W70B LED Models

At CES 2025, Panasonic introduced an exciting array of TVs for the upcoming year, prominently featuring three new models: the flagship Z95B OLED TV, the W95B mini-LED variant, and the entry-level W70B LED model. Details regarding pricing and release timelines are currently unavailable.

The Z95B, which takes over from the acclaimed Z95A, promises significant advancements. With its new ‘Primary RGB Tandem Panel’, the model is expected to deliver enhanced brightness, superior detail, and an expanded color volume compared to its predecessor’s micro-lens array (MLA) OLED panel.

Meanwhile, the W95B mini-LED TV is designed to offer a superior viewing experience, featuring up to 2.5 times the number of local dimming zones compared to last year’s W95A, leading to notable improvements in contrast and black levels.

As for the W70B, this entry-level LED series will support HDR formats including HDR10+ (decode only), HDR10, and HLG, all packaged within a sleek design that minimizes bezel size.

All three models will operate on the Fire TV platform, enhancing smart functionality. Notably, both the Z95B and W95B will introduce a Prime Video Calibrated Mode, optimized for Amazon Prime Video viewing, along with tools for Calman and ISF calibration. In the United States, these two models will also come equipped with an ATSC 3.0 NEXTGEN TV tuner for enhanced broadcast capabilities.

The Z95B and W95B will be released in both the United States and the United Kingdom, while the W70B will be exclusive to the U.S. market. Below is more detailed information on each model.

Panasonic Z95B OLED TV

The Panasonic Z95B will be available in three sizes: 55, 65, and 77 inches, marking the first time that both the smaller and larger options are offered in the U.S., as the Z95A was limited to 65 inches.

This new model’s standout feature is its quad-layer Primary RGB Tandem Panel, complemented by Panasonic’s ThermalFlow cooling system. These improvements are said to provide a more vibrant, colorful, and detailed viewing experience than the previous Z95A.

While it remains unverified if the quad-layer panel mirrors the ‘four-stack’ technology expected in the upcoming LG OLEDs, it still positions the Z95B favorably in the market.

Equipped with the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, the Z95B supports advanced HDR formats including Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+. The inclusion of a Precision Detail function promises to enhance the viewing of Dolby Vision content, unlocking more depth and clarity.

The integrated audio system of the Z95B has undergone a redesign to offer a broader soundstage, improved processing for spatial audio, and support for Dolby Atmos. If the audio quality matches that of the Z95A, which was celebrated for its sound performance, the Z95B could set new standards.

In terms of gaming features, the Z95B delivers strong support, featuring 4K 144Hz capabilities, VRR (with AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility), ALLM, Dolby Vision gaming support, and a dedicated True Game Mode.

Panasonic W95B Mini-LED TV

The W95B is Panasonic’s mini-LED offering for 2025, available in sizes of 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches in both the U.S. and U.K.

This model boasts a mini-LED panel, intended to enhance contrast, black levels, and detail, leveraging the 2.5x increase in local dimming zones compared to the W95A. This improvement is anticipated to offer better backlight control and an exceptional viewing experience.

Similar to the Z95B, the W95B utilizes the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, with support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+. The Precision Detail feature mirrors that of the Z95B, promising to refine Dolby Vision content viewing.

The W95B is also gaming-friendly, supporting 4K 144Hz capabilities alongside AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync VRR. It includes ALLM and supports Dolby Vision gaming, ensuring a high-performance gaming experience.

Details regarding the W95B’s speaker system have yet to be fully confirmed, although it is known to include a 20W subwoofer.

Panasonic W70B LED TV

The W70B is set to be available in various sizes for the U.S. market, specifically 43, 50, 55, 65, 70, 75, and 85 inches.

Utilizing an LED panel, the W70B will support 4K HDR formats, including HDR10+ (decode only), HDR10, and HLG, while also featuring MEMC technology for clearer motion in fast-paced imagery.

This model is equipped with four HDMI ports, but details on HDMI 2.1 support for advanced gaming features remain unconfirmed.

As part of its integration with Fire TV, the W70B will support voice control, facilitated through the Alexa voice remote.
