Naga Chaitanya Celebrates Love for Vizag and Sobhita Dhulipala

In a recent promotional event for his upcoming film Thandel, actor Naga Chaitanya expressed his deep affection for Vizag, highlighting his personal connection to the city through his marriage to fellow actress Sobhita Dhulipala. The event took place in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, where Chaitanya acknowledged his wife’s roots, calling her a “Vizag girl.” His heartfelt remarks not only promoted the film but also showcased his pride in his personal life.

Naga Chaitanya humorously appealed to the audience, stating, “Vizag is so close to my heart that I fell in love with a Vizag girl and married her. Now, there’s a piece of Vizag in my home too. Even in my household, the ruling party is Vizag. So, brothers, I have a small request—Thandel should rock Vizag’s box office; otherwise, I’ll lose my honour at home. Please!” This playful comment, reported by Hindustan Times, reflected the actor’s deep ties to both his origins and his recent marital status.

The couple officially tied the knot on December 4, 2024, in a ceremony held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Following the wedding, Chaitanya’s father, renowned actor Nagarjuna, took to social media to share his joy and welcome Sobhita into the family. He noted, “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me.” Nagarjuna emphasized the significance of the occasion, which coincided with the centenary celebrations of legendary actor ANR, suggesting a sense of familial and cultural continuity.

Regarding Thandel, the film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and features Sai Pallavi alongside Chaitanya. In this anticipated project, Chaitanya portrays a fisherman, showcasing a new facet of his acting capabilities. Initially slated for a January release during the Sankranthi festival, the film’s premiere was rescheduled and is now set to debut in theaters on February 7. It will be made available in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

As the film approaches its release date, both Chaitanya and Sobhita appear to be embracing their new life together, further intertwining their personal and professional journeys. This narrative adds to the excitement surrounding Thandel, as fans await its debut on the big screen.
