Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff Celebrate GYPSY at the Majestic Theatre
Former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff graced the Majestic Theatre with their presence yesterday as they attended the sold-out musical GYPSY, featuring the acclaimed Audra McDonald, a six-time Tony Award winner. Their arrival was met with an enthusiastic standing ovation from the audience, who cheered and chanted “Ka-ma-la” until the orchestra began to play the GYPSY overture.
At the conclusion of the performance, Harris and Emhoff joined in leading the audience in another round of applause for McDonald and her talented co-stars, before taking the opportunity to meet the cast backstage.
Harris has been actively supporting the arts, as evidenced by her recent attendance at a performance of A Wonderful World.
