Keffe D Speaks Out: First Interview Since Tupac Shakur Murder Charge

Duane “Keffe D” Davis has recently given his first extensive interview following his arrest and subsequent charge in 2023 for first-degree murder related to Tupac Shakur’s notorious 1996 killing. In a conversation with ABC News, Davis asserted his innocence, stating, “I ain’t killed nobody,” and reflected on his previous discussions about Shakur’s death, suggesting that his motivations for speaking out were financially driven, expressing regret for his actions.

It is important to note that Davis has not been charged with the act of shooting Shakur; instead, Nevada prosecutors allege that he orchestrated the attack as the head of the group responsible for the drive-by shooting that resulted in the rapper’s death.

As it stands, Davis is the only individual ever to face charges in connection with Shakur’s murder, maintaining a plea of not guilty in light of the allegations against him. His attorney, Carl Arnold, is actively pursuing the dismissal of the case, contending that previous immunity agreements should protect Davis from prosecution. The trial proceedings are scheduled to commence on Monday, February 9, 2026.
