Looking ahead, there are also questions surrounding the futures of other prominent players in the squad. Kyle Walker, currently on loan to AC Milan, and goalkeeper Ederson, who previously contemplated a high-profile switch to Saudi Arabia, are both in uncertain positions. Given remarked on the potential financial implications, stating, “The club could command a substantial fee for Ederson to facilitate new signings, but replacing him would present its own challenges.”

He further lauded Ederson’s qualities, highlighting, “He is an exceptional goalkeeper, integral to the team’s style of play from the back. In my view, there’s no one better than him when it comes to playing out from the defense.”

Potential for Future Contributions

At just 31 years of age, Ederson still possesses many years to perform at an elite level. Given reflected on his own career, mentioning that he joined Manchester City at 33, emphasizing that there’s no need to rush Ederson out of the club at this juncture. He advocates for the team to retain him, provided they can, as his contribution remains vital to City’s ambitions.
