Aoostar WTR Max Enhances Productivity with Advanced Display and Performance FeaturesUtilizes Dual-Channel DDR5-5600 RAM with ECC for Efficient FunctionalitySupports Extensive Storage Options with Up to 11 Drives

The newly unveiled Aoostar WTR Max mini PC serves as a compact NAS drive, powered by the robust AMD R7 Pro 8845HSv Enterprise processor, capable of operating between 3.8GHz and 5.1GHz.

This innovative system accommodates up to 11 storage drives, which comprise five M.2 2280 NVMe slots—three configured at PCIe 4.0 x2 and two at PCIe 4.0 x1—as well as six slots for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives, allowing for a staggering total storage capacity of up to 500TB.

Although primarily designed as a NAS solution, the Aoostar WTR Max can easily transition into a high-performance workstation, capable of supporting dual-channel DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM RAM that can be expanded up to 128GB, complete with ECC support for enhanced reliability.

Real-time Monitoring Capabilities

In terms of connectivity, the WTR Max boasts a variety of ports, including dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB4 port, and an OCuLink (PCIe 4.0 x4) connection. This design facilitates improved graphics performance through the attachment of an external GPU or offers additional storage expansion via hard drive enclosures.

On the networking front, the device features dual 2.5G LAN ports in conjunction with two Intel X710 10Gb LAN (SFP+) ports, enabling high-speed data transfer essential for demanding workflows. For those with multimedia or multitasking needs, the inclusion of HDMI 2.1 and Type-C ports allows for the output of triple 4K 240Hz displays.

Thermal management is a priority for Aoostar, which has integrated the Glacier Pro 1.0 cooling system. This system combines a substantial vapor chamber heat spreader dedicated to the APU with dual rear fans, optimizing thermal regulation for both the APU and storage drives.

Furthermore, included in this setup is a built-in display coupled with proprietary NAS control software, offering real-time monitoring capabilities to track system metrics such as CPU, GPU, and RAM utilization.

The Aoostar WTR Max is currently available for pre-order, with the base model starting at $699.00. It is expected to commence shipping in May 2025.
