Sadie Robertson’s Health Scare Amid Pregnancy
Sadie Robertson, the well-known star from Duck Dynasty, is currently on the mend after experiencing a serious health issue during her pregnancy.
Recently, the 27-year-old shared on social media that she was hospitalized while in Destin, Florida, on April 11. Robertson, who is within her second trimester, faced significant concern when she started having contractions every few minutes, leading her to fear the possibility of pre-term labor. This alarming situation was detailed in an April 14 Instagram post.
Her challenges began on Thursday when she arrived in Destin for a speaking engagement at a conference. Although the night started off relaxing, Robertson soon noticed that her condition was deteriorating.
“On Friday afternoon, I got hit with what we think was food poisoning and it was rough … I ended up in the hospital having consistent contractions every 3 minutes for a couple of hours,” she stated in her post. Fortunately, the hospital staff confirmed that she was not experiencing pre-term labor, attributing her symptoms to the aftermath of food poisoning.
Despite the scare, Robertson rescheduled her initial speaking engagement to a later evening Q&A, managing to participate in the conference despite feeling unwell.
However, by Sunday morning, she required medical attention once more and was diagnosed with both a sinus infection and bronchitis. Addressing her followers, she stated, “This pregnancy has been wild, but I am just so thankful baby is kicking around in the womb unbothered by the wild ride we’ve been on. Praying we make a turn today!”
Robertson expressed her gratitude despite the pain she was experiencing, adding, “My body hurts, but I’m thankful for it.”
In a joyous highlight, the couple announced their pregnancy through a joint Instagram post on Valentine’s Day. The post featured Robertson, her husband Christian Huff, and their two daughters, Honey James and Haven Belle, joyfully displaying sonogram images of their upcoming addition to the family.
With warmth and excitement, they wrote, “Our hearts are so full another little love joining the Huff family .”
