How to Resolve the Loadout Reset Issue After Prestiging in Black Ops 6

Players of Black Ops 6 have reported a frustrating glitch affecting their loadout configurations after reaching Prestige. This issue results in certain classes becoming unusable, forcing players to default to using the XM4 weapon. Thankfully, there exists a straightforward solution to this problem.

The reintroduction of the Prestige system in BO6 has garnered positive feedback from the community, bringing back a sense of progression that enhances the multiplayer experience. This feature resets players’ ranks after they hit Rank 55, locking away all previous weapons and Perks in exchange for enticing rewards and badges.

However, this beloved system is not without its complications. Players have been experiencing a bug where their loadouts become non-functional upon Prestiging. While this situation can lead to annoyance, resolving it is relatively simple.

How to Fix the Loadout Reset Bug in BO6

To address the loadout glitch, players should delete most of their custom classes. Regardless of how many classes you’ve created, it’s advisable to remove them all except for one, ensuring you always retain at least one functioning loadout.

It’s essential to delete any buggy loadouts while keeping a functioning one intact. Afterward, recreate your custom classes from scratch, and you will find they perform as expected. Many players, myself included, have tested this fix and can confirm its effectiveness.

Unfortunately, if you only delete the problematic loadouts, the issue persists. Thus, removing every build except one is necessary—a somewhat tedious task that requires players to reassemble their classes again, yet it remains a reliable fix.

Understanding the Prestige Loadout Bug

Upon reaching Prestige, players should still be able to access at least five custom loadouts. These can be personalized to include various attachments and permanent weapons obtained through the Battle Pass or using a Permanent Unlock Token.

Nevertheless, the glitch tends to revert certain loadouts to a basic XM4 upon selection in matches, despite displaying the customized version. This issue can affect multiple loadouts, preventing players from utilizing their designed builds, as their character will instead equip an Assault Rifle devoid of attachments.

The root cause of the glitch remains unclear, yet it seems to stem from a misunderstanding within the game regarding the players’ levels and loadouts. After Prestiging, players return to level 1 but should still have access to custom loadouts permanently available from level 4 in their initial progression.

Regrettably, this glitch approximates the experience of a player who has never engaged in a match, stripping away certain weapons and attachments.
