OnePlus has officially announced that the upcoming OnePlus 13T will feature a substantial 6,260mAh battery, ensuring robust battery life for its users. The company has reiterated its commitment to supporting bypass charging, a feature that enhances the charging experience.

As anticipation builds for the OnePlus 13T’s launch in China, OnePlus has shared more specifics regarding the battery’s capabilities. Initially, the company hinted that the device would contain a “6,000mAh+” battery, but it has now confirmed the exact size, which surpasses the batteries found in competitors like the OnePlus 13, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Additionally, OnePlus previously mentioned that the 13T would include bypass charging support, and this has been reaffirmed recently. This innovative feature allows the phone to be powered directly by the charger, unlike traditional methods where the charger must first charge the battery before powering the device.

The inclusion of bypass charging is particularly advantageous due to its positive impact on battery longevity. Since the battery does not undergo charging cycles when using bypass charging, it experiences less wear over time. Furthermore, traditional charging can generate heat, which may be exacerbated during resource-intensive activities like gaming. In contrast, bypass charging keeps temperatures lower, supporting both user comfort and device performance during prolonged gaming sessions.

In addition to battery enhancements, OnePlus executive Louis Lee has confirmed that the OnePlus 13T will be equipped with a main camera boasting a resolution of 50MP (IMX906) and a 2x telephoto camera. While specifics regarding the resolution of the telephoto camera have yet to be announced, it is noted that it supports 4x “lossless” zoom. The decision to include a telephoto lens, rather than an ultrawide option, has been positively received by many enthusiasts.

Tech enthusiasts and potential buyers will not have to wait long for more details, as the OnePlus 13T is set to be officially unveiled in China on April 24 (Thursday).
