LOCASH Celebrates Chart-Topping Success with ‘Hometown Home’

LOCASH reached No. 1 on country radio charts this month with “Hometown Home.”

The dynamic country music duo LOCASH is not taking a breather after their recent hit “Hometown Home” soared to the top of the charts. Instead, they are diving even deeper into their musical journey.

Preston Brust, one of the talented members of LOCASH, shared their enthusiasm, stating, “We haven’t had a moment yet. We’ve been gone for almost three straight weeks, non-stop. We had a couple drinks and toasted it up to the two-week No. 1.”

This month, “Hometown Home” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart for two consecutive weeks—a notable feat in the highly competitive landscape of country music. As of the latest updates, the single holds strong at No. 3, trailing Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem” and the collaboration between John Morgan and Jason Aldean titled “Friends Like That.” “Hometown Home” is featured on LOCASH’s recently released album Bet The Farm, produced under their independent label, Galaxy Label Group.

The track resonates with listeners, characterized as an upbeat country-pop anthem about creating a life with a loved one, irrespective of location. Chris Lucas, the other half of the duo, highlighted the universal appeal of the song, stating, “There’s so many hometown songs, but this one’s a little different. … Wherever he or she wants to go, you’re gonna move for them. You’re gonna make that hometown work.”

“Hometown Home” is particularly significant as it marks the first chart-topping success for LOCASH following their establishment of the Galaxy Label Group in late 2023, which they founded in collaboration with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Reflecting on this transition, Brust noted how surreal the experience has been, saying, “There were actually three deals signed in November 2023,” referring to their departure from BMG to create Galaxy, elevate their artistry, and sign themselves as the inaugural artists.

Brust added, “You fast-forward to April [2024, when the song debuted] and here comes ‘Hometown Home,’ to the batters’ box. Just wound up and hit it out of the park for us. Here we are, ready to sign new artists. We’re excited about sharing their dream with them. Let’s see if we can take some new artists – or some existing artists – to No. 1.”

“Hometown Home” anchors the new album Bet The Farm, which the duo hopes will yield further radio hits. The next anticipated single, “Wrong Hearts,” promises a heartfelt sound combined with traditional country elements highlighted by steel guitar.

In the meantime, LOCASH is fully committed to leveraging the momentum generated by their recent hit. Brust conveyed their aspirations clearly: “We want ‘Hometown Home’ to become an evergreen country gold record. We want to give it time to breathe, give it time to celebrate itself.”
