“How can we make a change if we run away from the darkness?” the artist queried on Instagram, sharing a video that depicted numerous photographers converging on him, their cameras flashing.
Justin Bieber’s recent run-ins with the paparazzi in Los Angeles have escalated into a more aggressive and intrusive affair, particularly amid growing concerns about his health and well-being. The musician posits that he should not be the one to yield, as he feels pressured by photographers who have encircled him at various locations, including a coffee shop and while navigating to his vehicle.
“Everyone telling me to move from LA, you think I’m going to let that pressure push me away from where my influence is most needed?” Bieber expressed on Instagram, sharing a video of the overwhelming barrage of camera flashes he faced. He is increasingly using his own camera to record those taking his picture. “This has to stop,” he captioned the clip.
For Bieber, the issue stems not from Los Angeles itself, but from the actions of individuals within it. “How can we make a change if we run away from the darkness?” he reiterated. Acknowledging his own entanglement in the often transactional world of Hollywood, he noted, “I too have been caught up in that. It’s embarrassing, but as a grown adult with a wife and son, I want nothing to do with it.” Recently, he welcomed his first child, Jack Blues Bieber, with his wife, Hailey Bieber. “I simply want to immerse myself in the culture, learning from everyone, and to be a proponent and advocate for love and equality,” he added.

In February, Bieber’s representatives pushed back against speculation regarding his mental and physical health, labeling such commentary as “exhausting and pitiful” and stating that, despite clear truths, some individuals are committed to perpetuating damaging and negative narratives. The artist has been visible on Instagram, sharing tracks from various musicians (his latest post featured Lil Wayne’s “How to Love”), skateboarding escapades, and introspective reflections.
In one of his posts, he shared, “People told me my whole life ‘wow Justin, you deserve that,’ and I have always felt unworthy. I felt like a fraud…I often feel unequipped and unqualified.” Bieber appears to be striving for a deeper connection through shared human experiences. When confronted by paparazzi during a recent coffee outing, he initially tried to shield his face, but ultimately chose to engage them. “Get outta here, bro. Money, that’s all you want. You don’t care about human beings,” he voiced. “That’s all you care about, guys. Money. You don’t care about people.”
