Kanye West, the renowned rapper, faced a surprising setback on Twitch, getting banned a mere seven minutes into his inaugural live stream on the platform.
Throughout 2025, West has been a prominent figure across various internet platforms, frequently appearing on popular streams hosted by Twitch and Kick personalities.
During this time, he has engaged with well-known streamers including Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, and Amouranth, contributing to a heightened public profile online.
His official Twitch account was launched on April 25, but viewers were astonished when he was banned shortly after the stream began.
Ye banned on Twitch almost immediately
Kanye went live early in the morning, but the broadcast lasted only seven minutes before Twitch intervened.
Despite the brief duration, he managed to attract nearly 3,000 followers and maintained a viewership that was about half that number, showcasing significant interest from fans.
Those attempting to access the stream are greeted with a standard ban message that states: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”
As of now, West has not publicly addressed the ban, leaving the specifics of the violation unclear.
Earlier in January 2025, Kai Cenat mentioned plans to collaborate with West while in Japan. However, that planned broadcast never materialized, particularly after Cenat removed himself from the equation following some controversial remarks from West.
In the wake of Kai’s withdrawal, Adin Ross expressed interest in stepping in, but no stream featuring West and Ross has taken place as of this writing.
Kanye West recently called out Kai Cenat, asserting that Cenat had appropriated his prison stream concept from a previous Donda broadcast, highlighting ongoing tensions within the streaming community.
