Damian Lillard’s 2024-25 NBA campaign has met an unfortunate conclusion as the star player for the Milwaukee Bucks is set to miss the remainder of the playoffs following a torn left Achilles injury.
This development was reported early Monday, with ESPN confirming that an MRI had determined the severity of the injury after the Bucks faced a 129-103 defeat against the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of their opening round series.

The injury transpired during the first quarter when Lillard attempted to secure a rebound. He fell and immediately reached for the back of his ankle, necessitating assistance to exit the court and head to the locker room.
This marks just his second game back following a prior absence due to a blood clot in his right calf.
In Game 2 against the Pacers, Lillard logged 37 minutes of play, contributing 14 points, seven assists, and three rebounds to the effort.
With this injury, not only is his playoff journey cut short, but it raises concerns about his availability for the early stages of the 2025-26 NBA season.
Rehabilitation processes for Achilles injuries typically span six to nine months, with some athletes taking as long as a year to fully return to competitive sports.
The 34-year-old is anticipated to earn $54 million during the next season.
Wishing a speedy recovery to Dame.
