The Go 7 series introduces innovative 7-inch eReaders with two distinct models: Go Color 7 (Gen II) and Go 7. The Go Color 7 features a Kaleido 3 display for vivid colors, while the Go 7 offers a monochrome display. Both devices support handwriting using Boox’s InkSense stylus and operate on Android 13. Weighing in at just 195 grams, these eReaders boast a compact design with wide bezels, an ergonomic page-turn button, a textured back for grip, and water-repellent coating.

After launching Palma 2 and Note Air4 C last year, Boox returns to the market with the Go 7 series, which aims to enhance the portable reading experience.

The new eReaders were unveiled last week and include both the Go 7 and Go Color 7 (Gen II). These devices are designed for those who enjoy reading on-the-go, making them particularly suitable for commuters and outdoor readers.

Both models feature 7-inch displays; however, the Go Color 7’s Kaleido 3 screen — similar to the one found in the Kobo Libra Colour — offers vibrant colors for a rich reading experience. In contrast, the standard Go 7 utilizes a Carta 1300 monochrome display, delivering a resolution of 300ppi, which is said to closely resemble the clarity of traditional paper. Both models are equipped with adjustable front lighting to ensure comfortable reading in various lighting conditions.

Additionally, both eReaders allow for handwriting with Boox’s InkSense stylus, enabling users to jot down notes, highlight passages, and annotate their reading material. A dedicated Notes app further enhances this functionality.

Powered by Android 13, the latest Boox eReaders also provide access to the Google Play Store, allowing users to install a range of Android applications. Each model comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card.

These lightweight eReaders are designed for easy one-handed use, essential for any e-ink device. Their wide bezels, ergonomic page turn buttons, and textured backs make for a comfortable grip, while their water-repellent design offers protection against splashes and light rain.

The Boox Go 7 and Go Color 7 come in two classic color options — black and white — with the Go Color 7 available in a navy blue finish as well. The Go 7 is now available for preorder in U.S. and European markets, priced at $249.99/£219.99/€249.99. The Go Color 7 will follow soon at a price of $279.99/£249.99/€279.99.
