OnePlus Adjusts Watch 3 Pricing Amid Tariff Challenges
OnePlus has announced significant changes regarding the pricing of its latest smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3. The company’s proactive adjustments to its supply chain aim to offer the device at a more appealing cost to consumers in the United States.
The official price of the OnePlus Watch 3 has been set at $349.99, a slight increase from the initial $330 tag. Despite the original pricing, this adjustment seems reasonable considering the ongoing complexities in the market, particularly in light of the Chinese tariffs affecting electronic imports.
A spokesperson for OnePlus stated, “This change reflects our effort to be transparent, responsive, and committed to bringing the OnePlus Watch 3 to the US at a competitive price point, despite the ongoing market conditions.” This commitment showcases OnePlus’ dedication to its customer base, especially given its origins in China.
Previously priced at $500, the OnePlus Watch 3 faced scrutiny over its value proposition, especially as competitors like the Pixel Watch offered similar features at lower prices. However, OnePlus acknowledges that some customers may have opted for the watch at the higher price point. To address these concerns, the company has announced that customers who purchased the device since its launch in early April will be eligible for a refund of the price difference.
For prospective buyers who were deterred by the earlier price due to increased tariffs, the newly adjusted price is now available in the OnePlus store.
