David Harbour reprises his role as Alexei Shostakov, also known as Red Guardian, in the upcoming film “Thunderbolts.”

In a conversation with “Extra’s” Terri Seymour at the Los Angeles premiere, he discussed the Marvel movie and dropped hints about the much-anticipated conclusion of “Stranger Things.”

The fifth and final season of the Netflix series is scheduled to premiere later this year. Harbour described the finale as “quite, quite moving.”

He praised show creators Matt and Ross Duffer, stating, “Those Duffer brothers know how to knock it out of the park, and they truly understand how to wrap things up.”

Harbour shared his experience during a read-through with the cast, saying, “We all got emotional; I’ve never seen people weep like that, so I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

He remarked, “It’s going to be a day for you, a day and a half of binge-worthy weeping.”

Turning to “Thunderbolts,” Harbour expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with Florence Pugh, highlighting their undeniable chemistry.

He stated, “She’s an incredible actress and a wonderful person. There’s a special chemistry between us that I don’t experience with many others. Just before we start filming, I feel this surge of emotion, and it’s purely from our connection. I love it.”

Harbour emphasized their working dynamic, remarking, “We maintain respect for the process and fully immerse ourselves for the camera and the audience. She’s generous as an actor, focused on moving people rather than seeking fame. That dedication is palpable when collaborating with her.”

Seymour also interviewed Florence Pugh about returning to her role as Yelena Belova/Black Widow, discussing the importance of supporting fellow cast members.

Pugh said, “It’s crucial for everyone to care about their coworkers, especially in film environments that can sometimes feel chaotic or negative. I prefer to work with good people who share my passions.”

She added, “When everyone is aligned, it should feel natural and effortless—it shouldn’t be difficult.”

“Thunderbolts” is set to release on May 2.
