Roger Vivier’s Fall 2025 Presentation: A Floral Affair in Paris
During the Fall 2025 showcase by Roger Vivier in Paris, attendees were treated to an enchanting atmosphere filled with a floral theme. Upon arrival at the elegant hôtel particulier, guests stepped onto a vibrant cherry-red carpet that transformed the cobblestone floor, setting the stage for a display of the latest collection from the esteemed brand.
The collection featured an array of items that prominently displayed roses, including the brand’s signature square-toe Belle Vivier heels, intertwined with satin bags available in an eye-catching palette of colors, each piece adorned with metallic roses. Even the bag handles incorporated thorn-like accents, enhancing the overall rose motif.
“This is a tribute to our archive,” noted creative director Gherardo Felloni, who donned a black button-down shirt paired with vintage jewelry, reflecting his unique style. “I draw from the archives to reinterpret our history in a modern context, and the rose was my inspiration. Roger Vivier was groundbreaking in combining a three-dimensional rose from couture hats with classic pumps.”
One highlight of the event was a whimsical room designed to resemble a mirrored ballet scene. Here, walls were adorned with shoes in vibrant hues of orange, green, and pink, each capped with artistic metal roses crafted in silver and gold. Centered in this room, a ballerina performed on a graphic carpet embellished with rose patterns, illuminated by a glass chandelier amidst a reflective wall that created a captivating visual ambiance.
“As you know, I have a passion for colors, and this room showcases that,” added Felloni. “Vivier was a pioneer in the world of colorful footwear, and I like to incorporate that tradition into our brand’s identity.”
Craftsmanship remains a cornerstone of the Roger Vivier brand, and this event showcased various artisans engaged in creating shoes. Attendees observed the meticulous work involved in crafting rosettes, leather pieces, and the iconic square buckles that the brand is known for. Among the standout items this season were leopard-print buckle duffle bags designed to complement the footwear. Another display featured a video tribute to the legendary actress Marlene Dietrich, showcasing memorable quotes from her career.
Celebrity attendees, including Olivia Colman, Gwendoline Christie, and Leslie Bibb, embraced the festivities, taking moments to chat with Felloni while posing in front of a giant black heel adorned with an oversized pink rosette. With champagne flowing and a cozy café area, guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere to mingle and unwind, providing a welcome break from the hustle of Paris Fashion Week. The outdoor garden was particularly delightful, offering a beautiful retreat amid the mild weather—a rare comfort during the fashion event. Fashion luminaries such as Catherine Deneuve, Lou Doillon, Inès de la Fressange, and Amanda Lear also captivated the cameras against the impressive backdrop of the giant shoe.
