In an unexpected revelation, Aamir Khan recently introduced his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the public during an intimate gathering with the media in Mumbai on Thursday. The acclaimed Bollywood actor confirmed their relationship while expressing that he had taken steps to prepare her for the intense scrutiny that often accompanies fame. Aamir highlighted the importance of kindness from the media towards Gauri as she acclimates to this new chapter in her life.
“I have tried to tell her how it will be, the media madness, and prepare her somewhat for it. She isn’t used to it. But we are hoping that you guys will be kind,” Aamir remarked in his conversation with the press, as reported by Hindustan Times.
When questioned about security measures for Gauri, Aamir disclosed, “I already have actually. But that is just for my personal peace.”
How Did Aamir Khan Meet Gauri?
Originally from Bengaluru, Gauri and Aamir have a long history of acquaintance spanning 25 years, but they only reconnected about 18 months ago during her visit to Mumbai. Reflecting on their relationship’s natural progression, Aamir shared, “We met accidentally, we kept in touch, and then it all happened organically.”
Gauri, who is a mother to a six-year-old boy, stated that she was seeking a partner who embodied gentleness and intelligence, which she found in Aamir. Additionally, Aamir noted her active contribution to his professional endeavors, saying, “She is now working with my production house,” which highlights the integration of their personal and professional lives.
Aamir Khan’s romantic history includes a first marriage to Reena Dutta in 1986, from which he has two children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan. The couple divorced in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and they announced their separation in 2021. Together, they have a son, Azad, born via surrogacy. Despite his past relationships, Aamir maintains amicable relations with both of his ex-wives, emphasizing their continued cordial interactions.
