Tere Ishk Mein, an eagerly awaited romantic drama under the direction of Aanand L Rai, stands out as one of the major cinematic events of 2025. With Dhanush and Kriti Sanon headlining the project, production is advancing smoothly. In a recent Instagram post, Rai shared a glimpse of the ongoing shooting process, announcing that after wrapping up filming in Delhi and Varanasi, the crew is currently exploring the striking landscapes of Leh, Ladakh.
On social media, the director posted a captivating image from the beautiful vistas of Ladakh, captioning it with a playful message: “Ye ‘Leh’ … hum toh Leh bhi aa gaye. #tereishkmein #recce #lehladakh #beautifulindia.”
The accompanying photo shows Rai posing against the striking scenery, sporting an eye-catching long orange jacket, complemented by a beige cap and brown sunglasses.
Since its official announcement, Tere Ishk Mein has been a topic of lively discussions online. The film is being produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, promising a gripping emotional journey with a stellar soundtrack by renowned composer A.R. Rahman, featuring poignant lyrics by Irshad Kamil.
This film marks the third collaboration between Rai and Dhanush, following the hits Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re, and is the first time the filmmaker is working with Kriti Sanon. Fans can expect to see it in cinemas starting November 28.
Reflecting on his long-standing professional relationship with Dhanush, Rai conveyed to New18, “Over the years, I’ve seen Dhanush grow. He was already an exceptional performer, but now he has evolved into a more confident writer and director.”
Earlier this year, the film’s makers revealed a teaser for Kriti’s character, Mukti. This revelation further heightened viewer enthusiasm, showcasing Kriti in a mysterious role that delves deep into her character’s complexities and fervor, paired with a captivating musical score.
Originally announced in early 2023, the production faced several setbacks, primarily attributed to Dhanush’s engagement with prior commitments.
In addition to Tere Ishk Mein, Aanand L Rai is producing a survival thriller titled Tu Yaa Mai,n which features Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav as leads. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, this film is set for a Valentine’s Day release in 2026.
Dhanush is also slated to appear in upcoming films Kuberaa and Idly Kadai, while Kriti Sanon is expected to collaborate with director R Balki on another project.
