Revelations Surrounding Aaron Goodwin’s Wife Following Arrest for Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot
Aaron Goodwin, the 48-year-old host of “Ghost Adventures,” has publicly addressed the distressing situation concerning his wife, Victoria Goodwin, after her arrest related to a purported murder-for-hire scheme. The 32-year-old Victoria was apprehended on March 6 in Nevada on charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder, allegedly stemming from attempts to hire someone to take Aaron’s life.
In a recent Instagram post, Goodwin expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support during this challenging time, stating, “Thank you everyone for all the love and support through this emotionally trying time. It has really helped a lot and I appreciate you all.”
Followers responded with messages of encouragement, stating things like, “Love you madly Aaron! We are all behind you!” and “We love you and care about you! We’re all very happy nothing happened to you, and sending all the positive healing energy your way!”
Reports from TMZ indicate that Victoria’s alleged plot was uncovered when prison officials intercepted phone communications involving her and an inmate in Florida, who was said to be involved in recruiting a hitman. Disturbingly, among their conversations was a message in which she questioned, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Further investigations revealed that Victoria had reportedly arranged to pay over $11,000 for the murder and had already disbursed an upfront payment of $2,500. Authorities believe the plan involved targeting Aaron while he filmed an episode of “Ghost Adventures” in California.
In a police report reviewed by People magazine, it was revealed that Victoria and the inmate, Grant Amato, communicated about their feelings for each other, with her allegedly stating that her husband would not agree to a divorce. When confronted about the text messages regarding a hitman, Victoria reportedly described herself as being “lonely” and experiencing marital issues, claiming she never intended for Aaron to be harmed and lacked recollection of the incriminating messages.
The arrest report noted that she shared fantasies of wanting to leave her husband for the inmate, suggesting a deep emotional turmoil. Virginia remains in custody, with a bail set at $100,000.
Aaron Goodwin’s Legal Actions Against Victoria
In light of these alarming revelations, Aaron Goodwin has initiated divorce proceedings against Victoria. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020 and held a ceremony in 2022, is now facing a dramatic split as Aaron has formally requested to retain his separate property and initiate a division of their community assets. Additionally, he is pursuing reimbursement for expenses tied to their community property and seeking a restoration of his single status.
Subsequently, Aaron modified his divorce filing to seek punitive damages exceeding $10,000, alleging that Victoria’s actions were not only extreme but also aimed at causing him emotional distress. The court papers suggest that her behavior led to severe emotional turmoil for him.
In his claims, he also accuses Victoria of assault and false imprisonment, citing her actions as creating a sense of fear and confinement. He detailed that he was aware of this confinement and that it had a significant impact on his well-being. To date, Victoria has not publicly responded to these allegations or the ongoing legal matters.
