Aaron Paul portrayed the role of Jesse Pinkman in the thriller sitcom Breaking Bad co-starring Bryan Cranston.
Aaron Paul is set to star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller *Ash*.
*Breaking Bad* is widely regarded as one of the pinnacle achievements in television history. Even after its conclusion over ten years ago, its influence remains palpable in popular culture, with its iconic characters and memorable dialogues continuing to resonate with fans. Notably, Jesse Pinkman’s frequent use of the term “bitch” has become a defining characteristic, a term that Aaron Paul, who portrayed Jesse, revealed still echoes in his daily life.
During a recent appearance on *Jimmy Kimmel Live!*, while promoting *Ash*, the topic of *Breaking Bad* surfaced. Kimmel inquired if fans still call him “bitch,” to which Paul humorously admitted that this is “still very much a problem.”
“It’s so fascinating because the show has been off the air for so long. However, many new viewers are discovering it now. I can confidently say that I’ve been called ‘bitch’ more than anyone else in the world. It’s a reality for me,” Paul shared.
While Paul has grown accustomed to this nickname, he acknowledged the awkwardness it brings when it occurs in the presence of his children. He and his wife, Lauren Parsekian, are parents to two young children: seven-year-old Story and two-year-old Ryder, who are still too young to grasp the word’s connotations.
“They don’t yet understand what that word means… But I feel like my character turned it into something of a term of endearment,” Paul explained.
The discussion also revealed insights into Paul’s camaraderie with his *Breaking Bad* co-star Bryan Cranston, who holds the role of godfather to Paul’s son, Ryder. Paul lightheartedly referred to Cranston as “the most immature person I’ve ever met.”
“You know what I mean? He truly is. He’s the best,” Paul added with a grin.
He went on to describe how his children affectionately refer to Cranston as “Monkey Man,” a nickname stemming from Cranston’s performance in the 2020 film *The One and Only Ivan*.
“They just call him Monkey Man. My son probably doesn’t even realize his name is Bryan; to him, he’s just Monkey Man,” he shared.
Regarding his latest work, *Ash* is a sci-fi horror-thriller directed by Flying Lotus, featuring an ensemble that includes Eiza González, Iko Uwais, Kate Elliott, Beulah Koale, and Lotus himself. The film has received an impressive 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, as reported by Screen Rant.
