Aaron Ramsey has remarked on Vincent Tan’s sporadic presence at Cardiff City matches, emphasizing that, while he may not attend as often as supporters would prefer, the Malaysian owner genuinely cares about the club’s future.
The Cardiff City Supporters Trust recently released a statement highlighting their concerns over Tan’s “minimal and infrequent” attendance at games.
In response, Tan clarified that he actively watches all matches, a sentiment that Ramsey corroborated.
“From my discussions with him, it’s clear that he has a strong interest in the club,” Ramsey noted, reinforcing the community’s hopeful outlook.
Ramsey further reflected on the current season, stating, “It hasn’t been satisfactory at all. We need to implement necessary changes to recover from this situation.”
He shared, “Over the years I have had several talks with him, and the themes have been consistent.”
“While he may not be present as frequently as fans would like, our conversations indicate a commitment to the club’s wellbeing, including watching the games and striving for improvement.”
Ramsey highlighted the need for a strong connection between the ownership and the team’s day-to-day operations. “It’s crucial to bridge that gap and execute the necessary strategies for the club’s progress,” he concluded.
