Abhishek Bachchan Praises Opportunity to Explore New Creative Directions

Abhishek Bachchan is set to appear in the forthcoming film ‘I Want To Talk’, directed by Shoojit Sircar.

At the recent music launch for ‘I Want To Talk’, Abhishek Bachchan discussed the invaluable insights he gained while collaborating with Sircar on this project. The actor reflected on the experience and shared his unique perspective on the film’s themes.

With a light-hearted tone, Abhishek humorously advised, “Don’t ever put on weight for a film again. Trust me, at my age, it gets very difficult to lose it after a while.” For this role, he underwent a noticeable physical transformation, showcasing a prominent belly, something he clarified was not a result of prosthetics. “And that is me. That isn’t any prosthetic,” he noted, emphasizing the dedication that went into preparing for his character.

Abhishek elaborated on how the film offered him deeper realizations regarding his career. He remarked, “It reassures you as actors that there’s a little bit of space for everybody out there.” Expressing gratitude to Shoojit Sircar, he emphasized the film’s deviation from conventional Bollywood tropes. “What I’d like to thank Shoojit Da for is, and I hope you all can find some sort of parallel in your own life, you know, we’re all stuck in the rut of life,” he said, contemplating the mundane routines people often follow in their professions, whether in corporate roles or creative fields.

He praised the project for pushing him to step outside his comfort zone. “What’s nice about working with Shoojit Da and doing a film like this is that occasionally you can simply say, ‘Hey, you know, I can try something different and maybe I should explore something new,'” he remarked. “And when that works out for you, there’s nothing more fulfilling.”

Abhishek concluded by addressing the significance of embracing fearlessness and experimentation, especially in an industry typically dominated by familiar formulas. “The greatest takeaway is to have, as he says, to be fearless. Sorry, fear free. Be free of fear and go out there, try something different,” he stated.
