Abhishek Bachchan to Star in Shoojit Sircar’s New Film, I Want To Talk
Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for his return to the silver screen with the upcoming film, I Want To Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar. Following his recent appearance in Ghoomer in 2023, the actor has unveiled the teaser for this new project, which has already sparked interest among fans.
The teaser presents a unique perspective, notably without any visuals of the cast. Instead, it features a bobblehead of Bachchan placed on his car’s dashboard. Alongside this intriguing imagery, Abhishek lends his voice, delivering a compelling message in a voiceover. He states, “I don’t just love to talk. I live to talk. Zinda hone mein aur marne mein mujhe bus yehi ek basic difference dikhta hai. Zinda log bol paate hai, marre hue, bol nahi paate,” emphasizing themes of life, communication, and existence.
For a further glimpse into the film, viewers can check out the teaser below:
According to the official description posted on YouTube, the film narrates the journey of a character who embodies optimism, stating: “We all know that one person who l̶o̶v̶e̶s̶ lives to talk. Here’s the story of a man who always looks at the brighter side of life, no matter what life throws at him!” This cheerful outlook is complemented by a cast that includes Ahilya Bamroo, Johnny Lever, Jayant Kripalani, Pearle Dey, and Kristin Goddard, with Bachchan taking the lead role.
Industry peers have endorsed the film, including actor Vicky Kaushal, who expressed his excitement for the teaser on Instagram. He praised the work of Shoojit Sircar, saying, “Magic of Shoojit Da! Love the teaser. Love the title and… Can’t wait AB!” This is particularly significant, as both actors previously collaborated in Manmarziyaan.
Interestingly, while this marks the first official collaboration between Abhisek Bachchan and Shoojit Sircar, the director has a history with his father, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, having worked together on films like Piku, Pink (as a co-writer), and Gulabo Sitabo. As such, there is much anticipation surrounding what this new collaboration will bring.
I Want To Talk is set to release on November 22, promising to deliver an engaging story centered on the joy of conversation and positivity amid life’s challenges.
