Acer Reports Strong Revenue Growth for Q4 and Full Year 2024
TAIPEI, Jan. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Acer Inc. (TWSE: TW:) has released its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024, reporting preliminary consolidated revenues of NT$66.12 billion. This marks a 4.7% increase year-on-year (YoY) and continues a trend of growth, with six consecutive quarters showing YoY revenue increases. For the entire year of 2024, the company’s preliminary consolidated revenues reached NT$264.71 billion, representing a 9.7% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, revenues from their personal computers and display segment grew by 8.4% YoY. In December alone, consolidated revenues were NT$24.55 billion, indicating a month-on-month growth of 7.9% and a YoY increase of 3.7%.
Acer’s diversified strategy appears to be paying off as revenues from segments outside of computers and displays made up 29.3% of total revenues in Q4, achieving a robust 14.2% YoY growth. For the whole year, this category accounted for 28.3% of revenues, with an impressive 15.5% growth. Highlights from Acer’s public subsidiaries include notable revenue increases for businesses under incubation:
- Altos Computing Inc.: Specializing in AI servers and workstations, the company saw revenue growth of 42.5% YoY in Q4 and 66.8% for the entire year.
- Acer ITS Inc.: Reported revenue growth of 6.2% YoY in Q4 and 19.4% YoY for the full year of 2024.
As Acer steps into 2025, the company has unveiled nearly 30 new products at CES Las Vegas, including the Copilot+ PCs, AI PCs, gaming PCs, and handheld gaming devices. The Aspire Vero 16, which is carbon-neutral, has been recognized as an honoree in the CES Innovations 2025 category. Notably, this product features a chassis that is more than 70% constructed from a mix of post-consumer recycled plastic and bio-based oyster shell material.
