On Wednesday, Darshan was granted interim bail by the Karnataka High Court after a period of 131 days.
Actor Darshan, who has been embroiled in the Renukaswamy murder case, has received interim bail from the Karnataka High Court. Following this decision, large crowds of fans have gathered outside his residence, expressing their support fervently. Notably, Darshan’s son, Vineesh Thoogudeep, addressed the growing crowd during this tumultuous time.
The Karnataka High Court granted Darshan bail after he spent 131 days in custody. Reports indicate he was granted bail for a duration of six weeks (45 days), primarily to receive medical treatment due to concerns over his deteriorating health. This release coincided with the festive occasion of Diwali and the birthday celebration of his son, Vineesh.
Upon his release, Darshan made his way to his wife Vijayalakshmi’s residence in Hosakere village. The crowd outside quickly swelled, outpacing the security measures in place. In response to the escalating situation, Vineesh came forward to address the fans, requesting them to disperse, stating, “Please, all go. There is an order from the court, and we can’t say anything. Please all go and don’t make a fuss.”
As the situation unfolded, fans began chanting slogans like, “Jai D Boss, D Boss,” to show their admiration for the actor. The police ultimately had to take action, dispersing the crowd with a lathi charge. Darshan’s treatment is expected to take place at one of several hospitals, with options including Manipal, Sparsh, and Apollo.
In June, Darshan was arrested amid allegations surrounding the murder of a fan named Renukaswamy. Reports suggest that he, along with a group of ten others, allegedly assaulted the victim, leading to fatal injuries in a shed located in Pattanagere, Karnataka. The incident was reportedly fueled by grievances over inappropriate messages sent to Darshan’s partner, Pavithra Gowda, who has also faced arrest in connection with this case.
