Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna made a remarkable entrance at the premiere of Kesari Chapter 2, walking together while radiating joy for the onlooking photographers. Their coordinated outfits captured attention, as Akshay opted for a textured grey suit complemented by a crisp white shirt and a matching tie, while Twinkle dazzled in an elegant olive green ensemble.
The event was a star-studded affair with many other Bollywood luminaries present. Ananya Panday turned heads in a eye-catching purple saree paired with a stylish halter-neck blouse, while Suhana Khan chose a timeless off-shoulder black dress, contributing to the evening’s glamour. Kajol, Rasha Thadani, among other notable personalities from the industry, were also in attendance.
Beyond its celebrity allure, Kesari Chapter 2 has begun to attract acclaim from political leaders and influential figures. The film, which delves into the nuances of India’s struggle for independence, particularly focusing on the tragic events of Jallianwala Bagh, was screened in New Delhi for a select audience of dignitaries.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri was one of the first to commend the film, describing it as a “profound and poignant tribute to India’s freedom movement and the sacrifices made during the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.” His praise was mirrored by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who took to X to express her appreciation, sharing images from the event featuring Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan.
In her post, she articulated in Hindi, “Kesari Chapter 2 captures the essence of patriotism, bravery, and sacrifice in a compelling and emotional way. Each scene resonates with pride and inspiration. Entrepreneur Rahul Sharma, married to actress Asin Thottumkal, also shared his thoughts on the film, calling it deserving of a National Award. He remarked, “We’ve all read about Jallianwala Bagh in our history classes, but nothing can truly prepare you for the reality I witnessed today.” He praised the performances of Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan as outstanding.
