Akshay Kumar Demonstrates Commitment to Fitness and Philanthropy
Actor Chooses Stairs Over Elevator During Film Promotions
Akshay Kumar, widely recognized for his robust fitness regime, is making headlines for both his role in the imminent film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and his notable physical fitness at the age of 56. Recently, he gained significant attention on social media for his decision to use the stairs instead of the elevator while attending promotional events, further solidifying his image as a fitness advocate.
Footage shared by the popular paparazzi account Viral Bhayani captured Akshay’s energetic entrance at a promotional location, where he was seen in a casual black t-shirt, exuding positivity and humility as he greeted photographers. His choice to take the stairs, despite the elevator’s proximity, demonstrates his commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle, inspiring many of his fans and followers.
On the same day, Akshay also paid a visit to Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai, ahead of the film’s release. Accompanied by director Mudassar Aziz, he was photographed engaging with various personnel at the site. During this visit, Akshay made a generous donation of Rs 1.21 crore towards the renovation of the dargah, highlighting his support for community initiatives.
Mohammad Ahmed Taher, the Administrative Officer of the Haji Ali Trust, commented on Akshay’s generosity, stating, “He was the quickest to respond with great warmth and devotion,” recognizing his contribution as a significant support in the ongoing renovation of the dargah. The trust also expressed their prayers for the well-being of Akshay’s deceased parents, extending their gratitude for his philanthropic actions.
In addition to his visit to Haji Ali Dargah, recent footage revealed Akshay hosting a langar at his residence, where he distributed food to those in need. Attempting to maintain a low profile by wearing a cap and mask, he was quickly recognized by fans as he engaged in this charitable act. Videos of the event circulated widely, showcasing his humility and dedication to helping the less fortunate.
This is not the first instance of Akshay donating to religious sites; he previously contributed Rs 3 crore for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, further establishing his commitment to supporting significant cultural and spiritual initiatives.
