Anticipation Grows for Season 4 of *Reacher*
The recent finale of *Reacher*’s third season has left fans buzzing, but lead actors Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten are already setting their sights on what comes next for the series.
In a conversation with Men’s Journal shared on March 27, Ritchson and Sten expressed their enthusiasm for future adaptations from Lee Child’s celebrated book series as *Reacher* prepares for its fourth season on Prime Video. Sten, however, has her doubts about one particular story making the transition to television.
Sten highlighted her favorite book, *Without Fail*, stating, “My favorite book is — and they’ll probably never do it,” referencing her own character’s journey alongside Jack Reacher. In this sixth installment of Child’s work, the duo collaborates to thwart an assassination attempt on the Vice President. Despite her current involvement in filming a spinoff focused on her character, Frances Neagley, Sten expressed a keen interest in revisiting *Reacher* should *Without Fail* be pursued for adaptation.
She mentioned, “I would really love Neagley to pop back on *Reacher* to do that one.”
On the other hand, Ritchson revealed that his own preferred narrative for the series involves a thrilling road trip across America. He shared, “My favorite book is *Die Trying*.”
In *Die Trying*, Reacher finds himself in a precarious situation when he is kidnapped in Chicago, handcuffed to a woman asserting she is an FBI agent. The ensuing journey across the country presents Reacher with the challenge of uncovering the motive behind his abduction.
Ritchson expressed his enthusiasm about potentially bringing this story to life, stating, “I would love to see that happen. And so far, there’s been a lot of discussion about whether or not we should or should not. I guess we’ll see what the future holds. I’ll find a way.”
As for the series’ previous seasons, the first installment adapted Lee Child’s debut novel, *Killing Floor*; season two tackled *Bad Luck and Trouble*; and the most recent season was inspired by *Persuader*.
With Prime Video confirming the order for a fourth season, fans can expect more thrilling escapades with Jack Reacher. The million-dollar question, however, is which of the 29 available books will be chosen for adaptation next.
