Rahul Bhatt Praises Ranbir Kapoor’s Fatherhood, Downplays Acting Career
In a revealing conversation, Rahul Bhatt, the half-brother of actress Alia Bhatt, shared his thoughts on her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor. During an interview with Hindi Rush, he focused on Ranbir’s role as a father rather than his career in the film industry.
“Ranbir is an exceptional father. To me, that’s what truly matters,” Rahul remarked. When prompted about Ranbir’s achievements as an actor, he candidly expressed, “Acting? Pata nahi mujhe kuch samajh mein nahi aata hai… acting kaun hai, actor kaun hai, Animal kaun hai, Kapoor kaun hai? Mere ko kuch fark nahi padta. (I don’t understand. Who’s acting? Who is the actor? Who is the Animal? Who is Kapoor? I don’t care.) The important thing is that he is a dedicated father who cherishes his daughter and respects my stepsister. Everything else is secondary.”
Additionally, Rahul recounted a moment from the pre-production of the upcoming film, Animal, where Ranbir sought his guidance. “He reached out to me for advice while preparing for Animal, especially regarding his weapons training in Abu Dhabi. It was evident that he approaches his craft with sincerity and curiosity,” Rahul said, reflecting on the long-standing connection they have had since childhood. “I’ve known him since our school days—he attended Bombay Scottish while I was at Arya Mandir.”
Rahul Bhatt is the son of renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt from his first marriage to Kiran Bhatt (formerly Loraine Bright).
As for Ranbir Kapoor’s professional endeavors, he has a busy schedule ahead. He is set to appear in the Ramayana trilogy, Animal Park (which is a sequel to Animal), Dhoom 4, and Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev. Furthermore, he is reportedly collaborating with director Rajkumar Hirani on an additional project, although release dates for these upcoming films have yet to be announced.
