After an extended period during which the CS:GO and Counter-Strike 2 Majors were primarily hosted in Europe and the Americas, Valve is set to bring the excitement to Asia for the first time. Shanghai, one of the continent’s most vibrant cities, has been chosen to host this highly anticipated tournament.

The upcoming Chinese Major will showcase 24 teams from across the globe. With the Regional Major Rankings (RMR) already taking place in Shanghai, the list of squads that have secured their spots at this prestigious event is starting to take shape.

The completion of the RMRs in the Americas and Asia has paved the way for the European teams, who are currently vying for their places at the Major. Uniquely, European teams have the opportunity to claim one of the eight direct slots for the Elimination Stage, with MOUZ securing the first of those positions.

Here’s an overview of the qualified teams thus far. We will continue to provide updates as more teams earn their qualifications.

Notably, the decision to cancel the fourth-place decider matches, which were supposed to determine which teams would qualify directly for the Elimination Stage, has sparked controversy. Instead, these spots will now be allocated based on a pre-event update to the Valve Regional Standings, rather than reflecting RMR performance.

When Does the Perfect World CS2 Major Start?

The Perfect World CS2 Major’s Opening Stage is set to commence on November 30. The subsequent Elimination Stage will feature a total of 16 teams.

The Elimination Stage will run for 11 days, from December 5 to 15. The tournament structure will remain consistent with previous Majors, incorporating single-elimination playoffs after the conclusion of two Swiss Stages.
