With a variety of comedies and thought-provoking dramas, Hulu’s lineup promises to offer entertainment that appeals to all tastes. Regardless of what genre viewers prefer, they can expect to discover something captivating next month.

‘Animal Control’ (Season 3)

Stream on January 3

Animal Control centers around an animal control unit in Seattle, where the team slowly realizes that dealing with humans is often more challenging than managing the animals. Leading the unit is Frank Shaw (Joel McHale), a cynical Senior Animal Control Officer with a past as a police officer, having been dismissed for exposing corruption within the force.

The cast also features a range of quirky characters, including Emily Price (Vella Lovell), the upbeat director of A.C. Northwest; Shred Taylor (Michael Rowland), Frank’s partner; Victoria Sands (Grace Palmer), a savvy New Zealand officer; and Amit Patel (Ravi V. Patel), another officer working alongside Victoria. With its unique blend of animal antics and humorous situations, Animal Control debuts on January 3.

‘Going Dutch’ (Season 1)

Stream on January 3

Going Dutch is a comedic take on military life, following Colonel Patrick Quinn (Denis Leary), who finds himself facing the consequences of his brash commentary by being reassigned to the Netherlands. At this unfamiliar base, he faces the challenge of connecting with a younger crew, while also trying to mend his strained relationship with his daughter, Captain Maggie Quinn (Taylor Misiak), who commands the outpost. This series includes a talented ensemble cast featuring Danny Pudi, Laci Mosley, Hal Cumpston, and Catherine Tate. Going Dutch premieres on January 3.

‘Doc’ (Season 1)

As she grapples with her lost experiences and a now unfamiliar life, including a recent divorce and a teenage daughter she no longer recognizes, Amy must harness her resilience to navigate her challenging reality. Doc arrives on January 8.

‘Shifting Gears’ (Season 1)

Stream on January 9

Shifting Gears features Tim Allen and Kat Dennings as Matt and Riley, a father-daughter duo whose relationship is reignited when Riley returns home seeking help with her children. Their new living arrangement leads to humorous situations and a gradual healing of their relationship. Shifting Gears will be available on January 9.
