Allegiant Air Announces Major Expansion with New Routes and Cities
Allegiant Air, known for its budget-friendly travel options, is set to implement a significant expansion plan next year, unveiling 44 new routes that include three new destinations.
The planned routes are slated to begin in February, matching the airline’s previous record for the largest expansion in its history, as detailed in a recent press release from the company. Among the new additions are services to Gulf Shores, Alabama; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Columbia, South Carolina.
This expansion is largely attributed to a surge in leisure travel, with a specific emphasis on offering options to markets that typically lack sufficient air travel services.
“We are thrilled to announce our nationwide expansion, which will provide more travel options for our customers,” stated Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer. He emphasized that these new routes are a response to growing consumer demand for affordable travel options. “By establishing connections between more cities, we’re facilitating opportunities for travelers to reconnect with loved ones, explore popular leisure spots, and build lasting memories.”
The initial service will commence between Phoenix and Pittsburgh on February 7, 2025. Following this, connections will be established between Colorado Springs and major cities including the Phoenix area, Orange County, California, and the Tampa region in Florida.
The airline plans to introduce additional flights from February through June 2025, facilitating new routes from Columbia to Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale, as well as from Gulf Shores to multiple airports across Tennessee and even extending to Kansas City.
As a promotional offer to celebrate these new routes, Allegiant is reducing fares, with one-way tickets starting as low as $39. Passengers interested in this deal are encouraged to book their flights by today, November 20, and must travel by July 25, 2025.
Based in Las Vegas, Allegiant ranks as one of the most economical airlines in the U.S. and is recognized as a leading low-cost carrier in North America, providing a no-frills flight experience that charges for extras, including baggage and onboard refreshments.
