Amazon Music Introduces ‘Delivered’: A New Yearly Recap Feature
The annual tradition of year-end music recaps is gaining new momentum with Amazon Music’s introduction of its latest feature, “Delivered.” This initiative is designed to provide users with a detailed overview of their listening experiences from 2024, similar to the popular Spotify Wrapped.
Delivered offers insights into user’s listening patterns, presenting statistics on their most-played songs, favorite artists, and popular podcasts throughout the year. A distinctive aspect of this recap is the inclusion of data showcasing the most frequently requested songs via Alexa on Amazon Music, adding an interactive element to the experience.
To utilize this new feature, users need to navigate to the Library section of the Amazon Music app on either iOS or Android devices. A banner entitled “2024 Delivered” will guide them to their personalized summary. As part of this recap, listeners will also be treated to a specially curated playlist titled “Top Songs 2024,” which can be readily accessed within the app or played by simply asking Alexa.
For those with Alexa-compatible devices, the experience is further enhanced. Certain users may be pleasantly surprised to receive personalized voice messages from some of their most-listened-to artists of the year. A flashing yellow light on their Alexa device will signal the arrival of such messages, creating an element of surprise. Details regarding the number of participating artists remain undisclosed, but this exclusive feature is expected to add an exciting twist to the recap.
While Amazon Music Delivered presents an innovative approach to annual music reflection, it is entering a competitive landscape alongside established offerings such as Spotify Wrapped. The unique integration of Alexa insights and artist voice messages may offer Amazon Music a distinguishing factor, potentially attracting a dedicated segment of users eager for a fresh perspective on their listening journeys.
