Amber Pike and Matt Barnett have joyfully shared the news of welcoming their first child, a baby girl, into the world!
The former contestants of “Love Is Blind” took to Instagram to celebrate this milestone, offering glimpses of their newborn. Amber, aged 33, uploaded a touching photograph of her daughter peacefully resting on her chest, expressing her excitement with the message, “Baby Barnett has arrived and is more perfect than anything I could’ve dreamed. If you hadn’t guessed yet, Baby B is a girl, and I still can’t believe the hospital let us take her home.”
She further shared, “It may be the hormones, but @barnettisblind and our baby girl have my heart so full I can hardly function. I hope this feeling never goes away .”
Matt, who is 34, also took to Instagram to commemorate this special occasion. He posted a sweet photo of his hands gently holding the tiny feet of their daughter, humorously announcing, “Promoted from daddy to dad
#girldad.”
The journey to parenthood has not been without its challenges for Amber. Back in January, she revealed her worries on Instagram about experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions and being found 1 centimeter dilated, raising concerns of potential preterm labor two months before her due date.
She wrote, “Don’t mind us, just freaking tf out a bit… Baby B is staying in for now! But holy crap does this kid know how to give me a panic attack already! We are nowhere near prepared yet mentally or materially… we haven’t had our baby showers, I haven’t gotten maternity pics done, and we still haven’t even decided on a middle name yet. Y’all please pray this headstrong baby waits a little longer to arrive.”
In a follow-up post in February, Amber shared that she was still battling Hyperemesis Gravidarum but reported that the baby was growing healthy and on track, stating, “Baby B is still cooking. The [Hyperemesis Gravidarum] is still hittin strong as ever but our little one is healthy and still growing on track so I’ll take a win where I can.”
The couple first announced their pregnancy in October during an appearance on “Love Seat,” a podcast hosted by fellow “Love Is Blind” stars Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton. Amber humorously recalled the unexpected news, saying, “Over summer break, he just went and knocked me up. That was very unexpected.”
Matt and Amber originally crossed paths in 2018 while filming the first season of “Love Is Blind,” and their relationship gained attention when the show premiered in February 2020. This new chapter marks the beginning of their family as they embrace parenthood for the first time.
