Ameesha Patel Revives Feud with Gadar 2 Director Anil Sharma Over Film’s Climax
Ameesha Patel has intensified her ongoing dispute with Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma by presenting video evidence allegedly contradicting his claims regarding the film’s climax.
The actress took to her social media platform, X, to share several clips where Sharma can be seen discussing the film’s ending and confirming that her character, Sakina, would indeed kill the villain after he unlawfully enters India.
This confrontation comes after Sharma’s recent interview, where he refuted the idea that the film’s conclusion was altered without Patel’s knowledge. In response to his denial, she commented, “I wonder what he has to say now that there is video evidence where @Anilsharma_dir is clearly narrating that I will kill the villain!! Since you might have missed it, I will share it on Twitter.”
Ameesha published three video clips as evidence, labeling the first, “Part 1—of the video where @Anilsharma_dir is openly talking and narrating to me that I will kill the villain in Gadar 2 in the climax!! I will also post Part 2 and Part 3!! I wonder how @Anilsharma_dir can now claim anything else! This video is undeniable proof.”
In follow-up posts, she called Sharma out directly for an explanation. In her last clip, she stated, “@Anilsharma_dir, please respond to everyone about this video!! The world knows the truth!! How will you deny it when the video proves your misleading assurances?”
This dispute stems from a recent interview Sharma had with Vickey Lalwani, where he addressed Patel’s allegations. He insisted the climax had not been altered without her approval, asserting that she had always been a vital part of the Gadar ensemble and recalling her commitment to the character of Sakina.
Sharma also shared insights about casting Patel, noting that while she was selected for her fitting visual representation, he did not initially view her as the strongest performer. Nevertheless, he acknowledged her determination in portraying Sakina. When faced with her allegations, he remarked, “If she has that much understanding, then she is free to make a film. It’s an open market. Who is stopping her?”
