Starring Sonam Arora, Divyansh Dwivedi and Amit Sial in key roles, the light-hearted drama Tikdam is streaming on Jio Cinema.
Amit Sial has gained significant recognition in the Hindi film industry through his diverse roles in series like Maharani, Jamtara, and Inside Edge. The actor, who stepped into the cinematic world with the 2006 film Hope and a Little Sugar, has since contributed to a number of notable films and web series. Presently, he is engaged in promotional activities for his latest film, Tikdam, and recently shared insights about his experiences and colleagues in a conversation with an entertainment news portal.
During an interview with Filmygyan’s Pooja Nawathe, Sial expressed admiration for Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, stating, “She is very brave as a person, with her choices and decisions, as a producer, and she comes across as a lovely person, I think.” He also reminisced about his early days in the industry, notably regarding his friendship with Randeep Hooda. Sial revealed, “He is the instrumental person in my life, and he is the reason why I am here in Mumbai because he called me to Mumbai.”
The film Tikdam, featuring Sonam Arora, Divyansh Dwivedi, and Amit Sial, is a light-hearted narrative that centers on the dynamics of a small hill town. Directed by Vivek Anchalia and produced by Jio Studios, it tells the story of a father contemplating moving to a larger city, while his determined children devise clever plans to prevent his departure.
Following Tikdam, Amit Sial is set to star in Arjun Sumitra’s upcoming film, For Bindiya Call Jugnu, which also features Annukampa Harsh and Razak Khan in leading roles.
Sial’s rise to fame can largely be attributed to his role in the groundbreaking 2010 film Love Sex Aur Dhokha, which received both critical acclaim and audience appreciation. The film, known for its unique storytelling approach, marked a significant point in his career.
He has also appeared in acclaimed films such as Titli, Raid, and Guddu Rangeela. While Sial has made a mark in cinema, much of his success has stemmed from his performances in streaming series, including Inside Edge, Mirzapur, Kathmandu Connection, Jamtara, and Maharani. His recent appearance in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande further solidifies his versatility as an actor.
